Good Bye 20s

I'm usually not one to post anything emotional but tonight I am. In a little while I will be going to bed and saying goodbye to my 20s.
My 20s were very good to me.
I meet and married the man I love who I can honestly say is my best friend. I've given birth to 2 wonderful boys, AJ my brainy kid who is forever surprising me with the things he knows, and Johnny my little clown who always knows when mommy needs a hug and kiss.
I've graduated college not once but twice, two separate degrees and both while going to school full time and raising kids.
I've broken out of my shyness. The little 3rd grade girl who cried in front of a room full of UIL judges, teachers and parents after only reciting the first word of her poem, she's gone. She competed against 2 other artist in front of a room full of judges, professional artist/crafters, camera people, and WON!
I've put my artwork out for the world to see, no longer hiding it in sketchbooks. Through my art I've made friends and even "fans" (their words not mine.(
I've made many new friends in my 20s, who I am thankful for and know that I can count on for a long time to come.
I've figured out who I am, and I'm happy with the person I've become.
My 20s were good to me, but I know my 30s will be great. I'm excited to see where they will lead me.

New Project: Rockin' Parties

I've started another project, a new shop actually. A few months back I was asked to create a bunch of printable party kits. The lady who requested them paid for one set and disappeared. I ended up with a bunch of finished sets, and sketches. So I've decided to open an Etsy shop to sell them in, www.RockinParties.etsy.com . So far I've only put up a few baby shower themed sets, but I plan on dedicating this week to creating more sets. Mostly for birthday parties. What makes my party sets different from the other shops already on Etsy? Well I hope to fill it mostly with more of a rocker style. I'm talking guitars, skulls, mohawks, animal prints, plaids, and oh so much more hence the name Rockin' Parties. Make sure to stop by and take a look. I also love working on custom designs, so hit me up with your request :)

Michael's Craft Masters Episode 2

It's finally up! Episode 2 of Craft Master's is the episode that I got to compete in. I had the best time, met some great crafters, all the wonderful people from Michael's, and I got to meet Cathie & Steve from the DIY and HGTV  show Creative Juice. I had the best time. If you want to see what I crafted and who won watch the episode here :

Steps 3 & 4

Yesterday I shared the digital drawing stage of my design process. Today I jump ahead to share the prototype stage. The prototype stage is actually stage 4. Step 3 is printing the designs onto heat transfers and pressing them to white cotton fabric. Step 4 is taking the fabric, sewing and stuffing the plushies. From here I decided what needs to be changed or improved on. I also use this step to decided whether to send the design to be printed on fabric by the yard. For those wondering who I use for my fabric printing, I use Spoonflower.com , I've been very happy with their work. Pricing may seem high, but when you think about having your very own designs that no one else can buy it's worth it.
Here's a peak at some prototypes.

I couldn't resist taking a picture on the beautiful new plates my parents bought us for Christmas.

Hope I didn't leave you too hungry :)
