I'm usually not one to post anything emotional but tonight I am. In a little while I will be going to bed and saying goodbye to my 20s.
My 20s were very good to me.
I meet and married the man I love who I can honestly say is my best friend. I've given birth to 2 wonderful boys, AJ my brainy kid who is forever surprising me with the things he knows, and Johnny my little clown who always knows when mommy needs a hug and kiss.
I've graduated college not once but twice, two separate degrees and both while going to school full time and raising kids.
I've broken out of my shyness. The little 3rd grade girl who cried in front of a room full of UIL judges, teachers and parents after only reciting the first word of her poem, she's gone. She competed against 2 other artist in front of a room full of judges, professional artist/crafters, camera people, and WON!
I've put my artwork out for the world to see, no longer hiding it in sketchbooks. Through my art I've made friends and even "fans" (their words not mine.(
I've made many new friends in my 20s, who I am thankful for and know that I can count on for a long time to come.
I've figured out who I am, and I'm happy with the person I've become.
My 20s were good to me, but I know my 30s will be great. I'm excited to see where they will lead me.
